I started training taijiquan in 1975. Yang style in the tradition of Zheng Manqing. Since 1990 student of Peter Ralston and Wee Kee Jin which are my only two teachers since 2001. Wrote many in depth articles in Dutch, German and English taiji magazines. Facilitator in the main international European taiji camps. Chairman for 30 years since 1982 of the Dutch Taijiquan Foundation (STN). Knighted by the Dutch King in 2015 for his national and international unpaid work in the field of taijiquan.
Workshop 1 : Effortless push
Using the air or pushing the person should make no difference in energy spend by relaxing and surrendering to gravity.
Workshop 2 : From relaxation to sinking to emptiness
Relaxation is one of the main principles of taijiquan. You need to be able to let go of tension in order to sink with gravity. Sinking can be form above down or from the feet up. Sinking from the feet down will create emptiness which is one of the highest goals in pushing hands.

A student of Master Wang Yen-nien, who died the morning of the 4th May 2008 in Taipei, Claudy teaches Taiji quan since 1985. In 1983, he trained at Kaivalyadhama Center in Lonavla, and got his diploma from the State of India, to teach yoga. His teaching, based on these two disciplines, also relies on, articulation biomechanics and the Chinese energy. Since 2004, Claudy follows Qigong courses with Mark Atkinson, a student of Zhang Guangde. He is the current president of the Europeen College of Teachers of the Yangjia Michuan Taiji quan and participated as mediator at Jasnières, as well as at Taichi Caledonia. As osteopath and acupuncturist, Claudy, above all, Advocates the respect of physical and mental integrity. Claudy likes to say that his greatest Master is, his students who with each class, helps him to continue his path.
Workshop 1: Fencing sword
Decoding the long sword chapters extracted from the Wu Bei Zhi (Manual of Military Preparation) written by Yao Yuanyi in 1621. This is to interpret an ancient text based on the principles that govern Taiji quan. Attack technics and ripostes with protections. This workshop is limited to 20 persons.

Workshop 1 + 2: Tai Chi Eyebrow Staff – Partner Play
This workshop will introduce staff movements for two people, stressing tai chi principles through work with a partner. Like the choreographed movements of “da lu,” we will play with listening to and responding to another person’s movement with a staff. The workshop will focus on body alignment, footwork, opening and closing distance. Movements are sequenced to emphasize physics and flow rather than brute strength; redirecting and neutralizing force with the staff. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and more advanced practitioners of all styles. Please bring a smooth staff of eyebrow height, and a fun, curious, open attitude.

Luigi Zanini (Vicenza, Italy) teaches Baguazhang and Qigong since 30 years. He has trained in Chinese and non Chinese Martial Arts since the age of 17 studying under a wide range of teachers at international level. His background goes to Shaolin systems, Xingyiquan, Yiquan, Taijiquan, Krav Maga and others, as also in Chinese Traditional Medicine and Meditation. He teaches in Italy and Europe since 1990 attending major events and passing on his experience to his students. He wrote three books on Kungfu and many articoles in different languages.
Workshop 1 : Six Healing Sounds, according to the School of Ma Litang. This simple but very effective Qigong method, based on the Five Energies theory, helps to relax and tonificate the body on a deep level in a short time. Is also very good to reestablish balance and prevent illnesses.
Workshop 2 : Bagua Chansigong. The skills of a flexible body are highly praised in Baguazhang, and they can offer a healthy aging and a strong body. We will practice some of the movements that are used in Baguazhang as a main companion for keeping well and also making the body structure strong.

Almut Schmitz started to learn Taijiquan and Qigong with Christel Proksch (Zheng Manqing form), since 1994 she is learning Chen style Taijiquan with Jan Silberstorff and Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang and Qigong with various teachers. She has been teaching for more than thirty years, is mother of two children and editor of the Taijiquan & Qigong Journal.
Workshop 1: Mobilizing the flow of force through the body – the vertical silk reeling exercises
In the “Silk reeling exercises”, Cansigong, we train in simple movement patterns basic principles like moving from the center, the continuous change between Yin and Yang and leading Qi with attention. They are especially useful for uniting physical movement, flow of energy and attention and for becoming aware of this unity.
The vertical level of movement is the basis for the transmission of force from the feet upward through the body to the hands. It is already being practiced within the womb, but often neglected later in life because of limited movement habits and tensions. In the vertical circles of the Cansigong we consciously activate this level in connection with the Dantian and the Small Heavenly Circuit.
Workshop 2: Working on body structure by standing still
“Standing like a pole” (Zhanzhuang) is a basic exercise in Qigong as well as in martial arts, which gives us – among other benefits – the chance to deeply perceive and develop our own structure. Physical and mental/emotional stability can thus grow equally. In the workshop we will go through a simple form of practice and deal with modes of correcting ourselves from within as well as correcting others from outside. This way we can obtain impulses for our own practice as well as for teaching.

Workshop 1+2: Psoas release exercises (PRE)
PRE is a series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress and tension. It safely activates a natural shaking reflex that releases tension and calms down the nervous system. These spontaneous shaking movements are called 'neurogenic tremors' and are also known as 'kriyas' in yoga. One of their main effects is the relaxation of the psoas muscle, allowing for free movement and energy flow around the hip joints. Knowing and being able to activate this proces can greatly benefit qigong and tai chi practitioners.
Helmut Oberlack has studied Yang Style Taijiquan since 1981 and Qigong since 1984. His main instructors: Christel Proksch and Sui Qingbo. He teaches Qigong at an instructors training for the Hamburg Gymnastics Association and is publisher of Taijiquan & Qigong Journal.
Workshop: Taiji-Qigong (Shibashi)
Taiji-Qigong is a relatively new Qigong-style, developed in the 80s. It combines the relaxed and harmonic flow of Taiji-movements with the conscious breathing and imagination (Yi) of Qigong. This workshop is an introduction to this system, suitable for all levels.
Judith van Drooge has practised Yang Lineage Tai Chi Chuan with Luis Molera and Grandmaster William C.C. Chen since 1999, with great pleasure and devotion. She is an all-round practitioner who successfully competed in national and international tournaments attaining gold, silver and bronze medals in Forms (weapons), Chi Kung and Push Hands. How do you communicate with yourself? Research and wonder. Through your awareness and attention during breathing, moving, talking you give them quality. Tai Chi, Qigong, Push Hands are tools that gives reflection on how you handle yourself. Help yourself and be that supportive coach, realize, make connections. We are going to test our grounding and investigate the benefits of relaxation, body posture and breathing. All levels.

I’ve been practicing Taiji in the tradition of Zheng Manqing since 1996 and Waterstyle (LiuHe BaFa) after Dr. Tao Ping-Siang since 2006. My main Qigong teachers have been Dr. Gitta Bach and the taoist Zhi Chang Li.
I am most fascinated by the fineness of Taiji body-work, its meaning in terms of awareness and the possibilities it offers for exploring interaction. I love Qigong for the directness of its approach.
Workshop 1 + 2: Wandering over the Earth on a Dragoon and Contemplating the Sun and the Moon, a Set of 8 Sitting Brocades.
This set is not only good for moments of weakness, or where there are difficulties in standing for any reasons: moments, in which one maybe very much in need of a good practice! The sitting position also facilitates the awareness for the mobility and connection of the spine around the central line, turning the sequence into a valuable learning tool. The last of these Brocades is a lovely Qigong in stillness. In a way, the whole set seems to prepare for entering a space of simple presence, in which to linger for a while at the end of the session. And how good a rest, after the exciting journey on the back of the Dragon!
We will first explore the main directions of movement of the spine - gentle waving front to back, side to side, and spiraling - which builds the core of the exercises. We then study the Set, four movements each day, playing the whole Set on the second day. All welcome!
She practices tai chi since 1993 and teaches since 1999. She achieved her French certification in 2001.

She is a member of the technical committee of the French Federation of Tai Chi Chuan. She is functioning as judge for professional certification as well as in national and European champion ships.
From 2002 to 2012 participated in French, European, solo and group competitions,
and won medals in the shape of hands and shapes with weapons.
In 2006, he won a hand-shaped medal and a bronze medal in sword at the World Championship in China.

Mauro Bertoli started his martial education when he was still a child, first practising Judo and after going on with Karate.
In 1987 he began to practise Tai Chi Chuan “Yang” style, with the Master Chang Dsu Yao. After the death of the Founder, he attended several events and seminars held by eminent figures of the field.
In 1995 he was acquainted with Master Yang Lin Sheng and he became his student, learning mainly Tai Chi Chuan “Chen” style and Yi Chuan.
In 2001 he went on a long study tour around China, practising with many Masters.
In 2013, together with a group of qualified friends, he created ARTY (Associazione Ricerche Taijiquan Yiquan) with the aim of spreading and enhancing these disciplines. email@example.com

Cate Wallis has been a direct student since 1990 and was recognized by Master Chen Xiaowang as part of the 20th Chen in July 2007.
Born in Switzerland, a mother who writes, and a father who is a musician at heart... with a priority option... to live her passions! First horses, then photography, then Tai-Chi.
At the age of 20 in 1968, she lived in Paris until 1975 as a photographer:

Back in Switzerland, she opened a martial arts school in Biel (Cate is a black belt in Aikido - Karate - Jiu Jitsu).
3 years later, a great trip to China - on her return, she stopped teaching the other martial arts to devote herself entirely to Tai-Chi.
1982 Birth of the school: TAI-CHI DO intensive courses throughout Switzerland, Tai-Chi becomes a full-time occupation and remains so until today!

He founded the & Stars School of Taijiquan in 1986, originated and directed the largest Martial Arts Festival in Scotland in 1993 and ‘94. Co-founded Tai Chi Caledonia, Has written numerous articles for magazines and participated in Taijiquan / Qigong events throughout Europe.
Currently he is the founder and director of Qigongtauk (Qigong Teachers Association UK) where he schedules 2 yearly Qigong training courses at Europe's largest Tibetan Temple - Samye Ling.
Over the weekend, bob will provide two 2 hour workshops from the system of Daoyin Yangsheng Gong that incorporates Medical Qigong where you will be taught specific acupuncture points to each exercise.

For years, I've tried out different feelings about dancing (tango - free practice and choregraphies), Rythm (Taketina, Shamanic ) .
Nowadays, my practice is inspired by the spirit of Danza Duende and Choresophy (Yumma Mudra et Michel Raji) searching for self- improvement, sharing and inspiring a vision of living together in an open-hearted society, in a better world.

Nils Klug has been learning Taijiquan since 1990. In 1993, he opened his first school. Over the years, he has taught at numerous Taijiquan meetings and has held workshops in Germany and abroad. To enable cross-style exchange in Taijiquan, Nils has been organizing the International Push Hands Meeting in Hannover since 2001. He also runs the website taiji-forum.com which aims to promote Chinese internal arts and to showcase the many ways in which Taijiquan, Qigong and other Chinese internal arts are taught and practiced worldwide.
Nils is a student of Grandmaster William C. C. Chen (New York) and is authorized by him to teach his Taijiquan. Grandmaster Chen, who has been teaching Taijiquan for over sixty years, was a student of Professor Cheng Man Ching, as well as Nils’ second teacher Dr. Tao Ping Siang (Taiwan, †2006) who also has had a major influence on his understanding of Taijiquan and Push Hands.

In 1989, she joined the Wang Yen-Nien school. She is a member of the European College of Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan. Currently she is continuing her training in Paris with Charles Li who was a student of Master Wang.
After a trip to China in 2007, she regularly follows the teaching of Master Liu Chang Xiang, a Taoist monk from the Quanzhen Dao school, for the practice of Neidan and Qigong.
Together with a few colleagues, she initiated the creation of "centrÂge ", an association that brings together and trains practitioners to teach Taiji and Qigong to the elderly.
She has been teaching in Lausanne (CH) since 1994.

Raquel Jesus is a body-centred coach, specialised in pre and perinatal somatic healing and committed with the practice of zhan zhuang chi kung since 2008. She facilitates classes and workshops in Amsterdam and collaborates currently with the Dutch Veterinary Acupuncture School.
She approaches this ancient art as a way to cultivate physical and energetic health, foster somatic awareness, activate the body’s inherent intelligence and synchronise the inner and outer nature.
Raquel studied in the Traditional Chinese Medicine School in Lisbon-Portugal and pursued her chi kung practice in the Netherlands, under the guidance of Peter den Dekker, a renowned teacher and author of the book “The Dynamics of Standing Still”.
Workshop 1+ 2: STILL CHI KUNG: prenatal reality in the here and now
Still chi kung is a core practice for body-energy awareness, health, resistance and martial ability. It consists of postural training, apparently without movement, but full of internal dynamics.
The decrease in external movement, invites the focus to go inside and activates the structural balance within the body.
The fundamental qualities of relation to gravity, earth connection, centering, boundaries, social engagement, equilibrium, growth and free expression can be explored in depth.
These basic qualities are greatly influenced by our early experiences - from pre-conception to birth.
It is during this primal time, that our deepest foundations for life are being formed.
Therefore, our life-forming experiences remain with us as a hidden daily reality. They unconsciously inform our posture, breathing, expression and how we relate with the world.
By way of postural standing, sitting or laying down, we will explore within the internal dynamics of stillness and slow movement, the presence of the prenatal reality.
Exploring with the practice of still chi kung our early personal history, offers new possibilities for structural alignment, energy flow and self-development.
